My Story
Welcome to Keith’s story, it begins on the beautiful island of New Providence, in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas at 11am on August 28th, 1963, Leonie Janet Moultrie gave birth to Keith Marcellus Simon Dean. About that very same moment, Martin Luther King Jr. began his “I Have a Dream Speech”. Keith’s father, Vincent Thomas Dean and his mother would remind him of his ties to that significant event, implanting the seeds of leadership, service, and responsibility to humanity.
His early childhood would require adjustments around the age of two with his parents separating. His mother would eventually marry, which immediately increased his siblings to a whopping nine. With family trees that now included the Dean’s, Foulkes and Moultrie clans, he is grateful for the learning experiences and love that come from within the walls of large families.
After graduating from Saint Augustine’s College (High School) he continued his education at Brigham Young University-Hawaii Campus focusing on the courses of study in the fields of accounting and psychology. It was during this period he was baptized and accepted Christ at the center of his life. This led to him putting his educational pursuits on hold and serving voluntarily as a missionary for 18 months in the California Fresno Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
After returning home and briefly working as a camera man for the governments national broadcasting company Keith began his 25-year career in the Aviation Industry. Taking off with 9 years of frontline experience and soaring to 16 years of escalating managerial positions, ultimately landing the position of Deputy General Manager of Administration at the government operated aviation company.
During these past years Keith has sought to diversify his work experience by accepting managerial positions within the Security Industry, Tourism Tour/Transportation Industry and presently as Assistant Director of Security/Facilities and Quality Assurance & Safety Manager in the Cinema/Entertainment Industry. His zeal to give back to the community empowered him to co-find the non-profit organization Island Vision Foundation which he chaired for about 4 years the experience and knowledge gained over the years energized him to follow his dreams and start his own company The BusinessofU.
Keith’s treasure chest of life is filled with many blessings. His prized gems are his wife Ertha, his 4 children, Travis, Juliet, Joshua and Amrianna, and his granddaughter Sage.
